Q&A with Morgan — Founder of Montipi

Tell us a little about yourself and how Montipi began…

Montipi was born from a personal passion for beautiful details and unique design. I’ve
always loved the idea of accessories that tell a story — that express individuality and a sense of adventure. I wanted to create a space that celebrates both elegance and creativity, curating timeless pieces that feel personal, imaginative, and full of soul.

What inspires your selection and how do you choose pieces?

I’m drawn to pieces that speak emotionally — something about the craftsmanship, the
texture, or the mood behind them. Each item I select carries an energy, whether it’s a
handcrafted leather bag, a pair of earrings, or a whimsical beaded clutch. For me, it’s about
curating personal expression, beliefs and wanders, not just ‘things’.

Why bags and accessories?

Accessories are such a powerful form of self-expression. They complete the outfit, yes, but
more than that — they reflect who we are. I’ve always been fascinated by how something as small as a bag or bracelet can hold so much personality and meaning.

You place a big emphasis on quality and longevity — can you share more?

I do. I believe beautiful things should be made to last. You want to keep your favourite bag
or jewellery for ever, so it has to be well made. My selection of Italian leather bags is
thoughtfully curated. These pieces are handcrafted in Tuscany using traditional, responsible techniques, with premium leather and refined hardware. Conscientiously made, thoughtfully designed to move with you.

That’s why I partner with artisans and brands that share that same respect for materials,

I grew up by the ocean, and I cannot conceive living away from it. So when I heard about
Arapawa’s story, it is profound and meaningful. Their hard work and passion is simply
remarkable and their energy communicative. They don’t just craft pearls, they shape the
ocean’s survival and future. Their pearls are more than jewels, their nature’s heritage. And I
feel very honoured to be involved in their journey.

This collaboration feels deeply meaningful. It brings together two worlds — the beauty of
