Love these exotic pearls with breathtaking colours. My silver necklace has three blue pearl drops and looks stunning. Arapawa came out of a search of the world as a place we could be involved. Antonia, Mike and their talented team totally got on board with. Helping us make a dream come true. We snorkelled for shells in the bay, celebrated on the beach, stayed in the beach house and toured their pearl farm. A total experience and one we will never forget. Thank you for everything

Our private tour of Arapawa was one of the highlights of our New Zealand vacation. We started with a beautiful boat ride from our accommodations, traveling through scenic waterways on the way to the island. As the boat pulled up to the dock, Mike and Antonia welcomed us to the island and invited us into their charming home for some delicious homemade refreshments. Chatting about their diving backgrounds, the history of their abalone paua farm, and how these little creatures can be cultivated and utilized in jewelry, as well as fine cuisine, Mike and Antonia provided us with a great deal of information that increased our appreciation of these beautiful creatures and the stunning pearls they can create.
We then toured the facility housing the abalone paua tanks, where Mike showed us the growing processes, from spawning, to capturing the tiny offspring, then caring for the animals throughout their life cycle…so amazing! I was also very appreciative of their care and conservation efforts, reseeding adolescents into the wild to ensure these precious creatures continue to thrive around the New Zealand coast in the wild. Now that is conscientious farming…quite impressive!
Next we visited their charming jewelry shop, where you can see the beautiful pearls in a variety of jewelry. Whether set in gold or silver, the craftsmanship is really outstanding. I selected two beautiful necklaces that will be a lovely reminder for years to come of our stunning trip to New Zealand.
Throughout the tour, walking around the beautifully landscaped gardens and grounds, you can fully appreciate what a labor of love this has been for the Radon family. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon with Mike and Antonia and really appreciated them sharing this experience with us.
